Strength in Numbers. Warriors lead 3-1.

For the first time in the series we finally got a close basketball game. It was a back and forth game that saw several lead changes and ties. Warriors win 108-97 and now have a commanding 3-1 lead in the NBA Finals. No team in NBA history has ever come back from a 3-1 deficit to win the NBA championship. 0-32 all time.

The Splash brothers was on fire tonight combining for 63 points, as both players score 20+ points for the first time in this series. Varejao was huge on the offensive board, hustling and keeping plays alive. Ball movement and three point shooting was the difference for the Warriors tonight. The Warriors got hot from behind the arc, hitting 17 3’s at 47%. That’s the most threes hit in an NBA Finals game. They also showed some toughness and hustle that was missing in game 3.

Game 5 is obviously a must win game for the Cavs. They have to find a way to win in Oakland and force a game 6. The Warriors can close it out at home and cap off an historic season with a championship. Beating the Cavaliers at full strength would silence the Warriors haters once and for all. Back to back championships would put the Warriors in the dynasty conversation.
