No Steve Kerr. No problem. The Warriors are 4-0 and winning by an average margin of 25 points a game. Seriously, 25 points a game. It’s safe to say the Warriors haven’t missed a beat. That’s a testament to the great system, culture, and lock room that Steve Kerr has installed with this team. It also helps when you have reigning MVP Stephen Curry on you team. For the season, Curry is leading the NBA in scoring at 37.0 ppg along with 6.3 apg and 5.0 rpg.
That’s not to say the Warriors don’t miss their head coach Steve Kerr, because they obviously do. Kerr’s blueprint and DNA is ingrained into this team. His players absolutely love playing for him. Kerr had to take an indefinite leave of absence to recover from offseason back surgery.
Luke Walton has done a phenomenal job in Steve Kerr’s absence. I know it’s only four games into the season, but it’s scary to think that the Warriors actually might be better than they were last year. The Warriors are first in the NBA in scoring with 119 ppg, and first in assist with 28 apg. No championship hangover for this team. The Warriors are on a mission and looking to repeat as championships.
